With virtual events being the only events possible at the moment ( 18th April 2020 ) , we thought it might be a good idea to provide you with some useful resources to support you in putting on this type of event. Please bear with us as we create the content and add to the resource hub. We are looking to add fun videos, poster templates and a variety of event templates you can use to organise and promote your virtual PTA event. We will even include tips and tricks to help kick-start your fundraising income too!

Promotional Videos - Free to download for your PTA
We hope you use and enjoy our done for you, engaging PTA videos. They will help you promote your events, request volunteers and even encourage sponsorship. Share your choice of video now by doing any of the following:
1) Embed the video on your PTA web page using the embed icon on the video itself. Tip: Hover your cursor over the video to see this icon.
2) Share it on Facebook, Twitter, by Email or WhatsApp by copying the link beside the video and pasting to your preferred communication platform.
3) Download the actual video file using the DOWNLOAD link beside the video.

Promote your PTA event with flashy posters.
Having a disco or movie night and need to promote it using an eye-catching poster? Here is a template for you to use on Canva. You can add, edit or delete text and images as you wish. Save it as an image or publish it as a PDF poster with clickable ticketing links!! We’ve done the hard work for you. Now all you have to do is change colours and amend your text!

Use our Myth Buster presentation to enlighten those who do not know what the PTA is all about.
It's an absolute no no to simply Google images online and use them in your designs. Most images online have copyright and you could be fined for using them. Instead, the PTA Hub elves have compiled a list of the most useful sites online to find free or low cost images for you to use when creating your promotional designs.
There are a number of ways Facebook can be used to promote PTA events, request contributions, promote sponsors etc.
Some online links can be very long and complicated. It's tricky to share them on a poster or expect parents to remember the link to access themselves. Welcome to Bitly - the service that allows you to shorten and customise your links for FREE!
Did you know that there is another way to communicate using WhatsApp rather than the annoying text tennis that is WhatsApp groups? WhatsApp broadcast list is a very useful, less intrusive tool that anyone can use!

It’s back to school and everyone is finding their feet again after the long period of homeschooling followed by the school summer holidays. PTAs start to focus on fundraising again albeit sensitively, knowing that many jobs have been lost and times are tight. To some PTAs it may be more important to connect and engage with pupils and their families rather than fundraise. No matter what the pandemic may bring in the coming months, one thing is for sure - Christmas won’t be cancelled!

2020 is the dawn of a new type of PTA event, namely virtual events. Music to a PTA’s ears as there is very little organisation and resource planning required! There are various online platforms you can use but we like Zoom. Zoom meetings are perfect for hosting interactive events where you’ll want lots of audience participation.
Given the current global situation, we thought it might be nice to focus on happier times ahead. Sometime in the future when we are back at school and being thankful that we survived a very surreal episode in our lives.

Given the developing uncertainty surrounding Coronavirus, we thought it would be helpful to put together some advice for PTA groups that have planned events in the coming months.
